Started by an Insurance Adjuster Who Saw Too Many Bad Installs
Ballistic Window and Door was founded by a former Florida insurance adjuster who spent years walking damaged homes and watching the same story play out over and over: poorly installed windows, wrong products, and homeowners who never captured the wind mitigation savings they were entitled to.
How Ballistic Was Born
Our founder spent years as a Florida insurance adjuster, walking through homes after every major storm. Same pattern, every single time: improperly installed impact products that failed, missing flashing, wrong fasteners, no permits, and wind mitigation paperwork so sloppy that homeowners were leaving thousands of dollars in insurance discounts on the table.
That was the reason to start Ballistic — not to handle insurance claims, but to install impact windows and doors the way they should have been installed in the first place. Every job permitted, every product specified to the actual wind zone, every wind mitigation inspection documented so the homeowner captures every credit they qualify for.
We serve homeowners across the Treasure Coast and northern Palm Beach County — from Vero Beach and Sebastian in Indian River County, through Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie, down through Stuart, Hobe Sound, and Jupiter, all the way to West Palm Beach, Wellington, Lake Worth, and Boynton Beach. If you're between Vero Beach and Boynton Beach and you want a job done right — by people who've seen what happens when it isn't — we're your team.
Three Industries. One Team.
Most window companies know windows. We know windows, construction, and insurance — and we operate by a simple set of rules.
Window Industry
Years of hands-on experience in impact window sales, installation, and product knowledge. We know which products hold up and which ones don't — and we only install what we'd put on our own homes.
General Contracting
Licensed Florida general contractors who understand proper structural installation, permitting, code compliance, and what it takes to do the job right the first time.
Insurance Adjusting
Our founder worked as a Florida insurance adjuster before starting Ballistic. Years of inspecting failed installations and improperly documented homes is the reason this company exists — and the reason we know exactly which wind mitigation credits your home qualifies for and how to document them so your premium actually drops.
How We Actually Do Business
No Shortcuts
Every job is permitted, inspected, and installed to Florida Building Code. We don't cut corners because corners are where things fail.
Straight Talk
We tell you what you need — not what gives us the biggest ticket. If a repair is all you need, we'll say so.
Real Expertise
Window professionals. Licensed contractors. Insurance knowledge. You're not getting a salesperson with a brochure. You're getting people who have done this for years.
Standing Behind Our Work
Every installation comes with a manufacturer warranty and our installation warranty. If something isn't right, we make it right.
